retail brands can boost in-store purchases and retention with 3 Aisle tips

Welcome to the September edition of What’s New in the Aisle. Fall is here, and so are new product updates.

Aisle is the first omnichannel engagement platform that allows you to sell more in-store.

Here's a quick rundown of what's been released:

  • MAJOR dashboard improvements: basket and shopper analysis, granular product and SKU redemption data, performance benchmarks
  • More data to improve your marketing campaigns: Google Pixel support, improved attribution reporting (via UTMs)
  • Additional ways to boost customer lifetime value: build your own loyalty programs, more Apple Pass data
  • Tools to improve campaign conversion rates: MMS support, AI copywriting support
  • Improvements to our consumer product: category selection and map views added to our community page.

Problem: You want real-time insights into your shopper and retail marketing efforts.

Here's how we're solving this for you:

All Campaigns Reporting

  1. What's new: you can now view combined campaign-level stats from a single dashboard within your dashboard.
  2. How it helps: this lets you track the success of all of your active campaigns— including top retailers, merchants, and campaigns—in a single view.
  3. Where to find it: navigate to your Dashboard and select All Campaigns from the drop-down menu.

Transaction and Shopper Basket Analysis

  1. What's new: this helps you understand what other brands, product categories, and sub-categories appear on your customers’ receipts.
  2. How it helps: we leverage millions of line items across all brands using Aisle to help you understand what other brands, product categories, and sub-categories appear on your customers’ receipts.
  3. Where to find it: navigate to Basket Analytics tab to find this data.

Product & SKU Reporting

  1. What's new: you can now view combined campaign-level stats from a single dashboard within your dashboard.
  2. How it helps:  understand exactly what products and SKUs are being redeemed most frequently across your campaigns.
  3. Where to find it: in the All Campaigns view of your dashboard, find two new cards - Redemptions by Product and Redemptions by Variant.

Performance Benchmarks

  1. What's new: you can now track your campaign conversion rates and average basket size (receipt values) relative to other brands in similar product categories.
  2. How it helps:  understand if your offer is performing well, or isn't aggressive enough, and if your campaign is increasing total receipt value for these retailers.
  3. Where to find it: navigate to the Dashboard tab and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Problem: You need more inputs to help optimize your retail marketing campaigns for performance and conversions.

Here's how we're solving this for you:

Google Pixel Support for Embeds

  1. What's new: in addition to the Meta Pixel, we now support adding a Google conversion pixel to your landing pages and forms.
  2. How it helps: if you are running conversion-based ads (which we recommend), this will allow you to pass conversion data from Aisle back to Google to improve the targeting and quality of the traffic to your programs.
  3. Where to find it: within the Capture section of your campaign, build your assets and use the Google attribute to add your Pixel ID.

Improved Attribution Reporting

  1. What's new: for brands running paid social ads or any other channel leveraging UTM parameters, we only pulled in UTM_source, UTM_medium, and UTM_campaign. With this update, you can now add UTM_term and UTM_content to understand precisely what content drives retail conversions—whether different ads, newsletter content, or influencer programs.
  2. How it helps: campaign attribution has been at the core of Aisle’s closed-loop retail reporting, allowing brands to know exactly what marketing campaigns are driving velocities.
  3. Where to find it: navigate to the Campaign Acquisition report within your dashboard.

Problem: You spend money acquiring new consumers and want to increase their lifetime value.

Here's how we're solving this for you:

Loyalty Programs

  1. What's new: this new feature allows brands to add up to 5 repeat rewards on a single campaign.
  2. How it helps: setting up repeat rewards on your Aisle campaigns is one of the quickest ways to drive repeat purchase behavior and brand loyalty. These offers help boost lifetime value and give you a more cost-efficient volume at the register.
  3. Where to find it: navigate to Messaging within your campaign and click Open Repeat Reward Editor

Apple Pass Statistics

  1. What's new: Apple Pass allows you to send a push notification to your shoppers whenever they’re in a store that carries your brand, and you can now view the total downloads and deletions for your active Apple Passes over time.
  2. How it helps: this will show how often these are added or deleted from your shoppers' iOS devices and help you understand where to place the Apple Pass in your messaging flow to maximize engagement and usage.
  3. Where to find it: navigate to Campaign and Apple Pass.

Problem: You want more consumers to redeem your offers.

Here's how we're solving this for you:

AI(sle) 🤖

  1. What's new: you can now leverage the power of AI to build messaging across your campaigns.
  2. How it helps: spin up campaigns faster and build more engaging text messages.
  3. Where to find it: when building or making edits to a campaign, navigate to Messaging and select the AI toggle in the top right-hand corner of the text box to see the suggested copy.

Improved MMS (Image) Support

  1. What's new: brands can now add images to every text message in their campaign.
  2. How it helps: this provides the shopper with a clear visual of your brand and products, and adding images increases engagement with text messages by about 15% on average.
  3. Where to find it: when building or making edits to a campaign, navigate to Messaging and click into the message you'd like to add an image for.

Problem: You want to increase in-store velocities, but your CFO is clamping down on budgets for EOY.

Here's how we're solving this for you:

We are actively invested in improving our consumer product going into 2025.

  1. What's new: consumers using our shopper community to find new brands and product offers can now filter this page by category. We have also added a map view to reduce friction between the consumer, your offer, and your active retailers (i.e., we help consumers find your stores faster)
  2. How it helps: this makes it much easier for shoppers to find your brand’s products based on their current needs and location.
  3. Where to find it: check it out here.
